Simon D'Arcy

With over 17 years of experience in consulting, executive coaching, mediation, program design and business management, Simon designs and delivers high impact, results-oriented interventions and solutions for professional and corporate clients around the globe. He combines the latest research in interpersonal communication skills, influence technology, and adult learning theory, to give his clients the skill and perspective they need to produce extraordinary results.

At age 22, while finishing his degree in Economics at the University of California at Santa Barbara, Simon co-developed the. Action Coaching Team (A.C.T.) Program – a cutting edge motivational process that combines coaching, teamwork and accountability to increase individual and organizational productivity and effectiveness.  As demand grew, he started his first company, Mastery Services to offer the A.C.T. program to entrepreneurs and small business owners across the state of California.

After 5 years of running his own company, he joined Malandro Communications Inc, where he worked for 8 years as a senior consultant helping Fortune 1000 companies such as CNA, Placer Dome, Rohm and Haas and Zurich North America change their corporate culture from a command and control environment to a high-performance culture that is based on partnership (trust) and 100% accountability.

Simon’s core values of authenticity, accountability, community and never-ending learning are the driving force in his passion to uncover the current realities and create the lasting changes so crucial to an organization’s long-term success. Energetic and inquisitive by nature, he considers the following ‘burning’ questions central to the work of Business Success Teams:

  • What is the most efficient (cost effective) way to affect change (make a sustainable difference) in an organization?

  • How do we create corporate cultures where the goals of robust financial performance and fulfilled employees are not mutually exclusive, but rather are interdependent?

  • What is the best way to help another broaden their perspective to be able to appreciate both sides of an issue?

  • What is the most effective way to help leaders see themselves as they really are?  What is the best way to increase awareness of the impact they have on others?

  • As the founder of Business Success Teams, Simon has been exploring these questions with thousands of employees, managers, and executives at hundreds of companies, including ConocoPhillips, IRI, Sun MicroSystems, Network Equipment Technologies, United States Gypsum Corporation, RVI Group, Merrill Lynch Canada, and Gold’s Gym.
